Our Story

During his 17 years of walking and training dogs, Sam Gedymin, founder of Far Fetched Pets in Upper Manhattan, kept seeing the same problem: even the best harnesses available would shift and loosen. So he asked a simple question: Why do dog harnesses have endless straps, buckles and adjustments, yet are still so easy to escape?

That search for something better led us to Boundless™, a novel twist-to-tighten knob and cable system that lets you dial in a secure, comfortable fit in seconds. Our patent-pending design has no complicated adjustments. Once dialed-in, it stays snug without restricting movement. Great for on-leash training and simply helping dogs — be dogs.

Sam has been walking and training dogs for nearly a century in dog years 😅 but his journey developing a love for animals started much earlier. Sam's first working experience with animals began as the Kennel Boy at his mother's veterinary clinic, Cherry Hill Veterinary Clinic in Rubicon, WI. There, he and his siblings fostered a love and professional knowledge of pet care.

Sam's brother, Jack went on to become a veterinarian and now works in an Animal ER in San Diego. Today, whenever Sam has any medical questions about his or his clients' dogs, he has a direct line to two experienced and caring veterinarians. Naturally, they are the first people Sam called for advice on developing the best dog harness on the market!

That shared passion and combined knowledge is what gave Sam the confidence to do something about the gap he saw in the market — the problem found in most harnesses when the dog jostles and loosens it, often escaping.
